Reminder- The Mustard Seed

Our faith moves God, and it works every time. There is a supernatural element that is set into motion, when we in faith expect something to happen- perhaps that the “things hope for” part. When we direct our faith toward God he will surprise you, remember He will never leave nor forsake you.
In my experience walking by faith not by sight was a challenge for me because I wanted it now and I just wanted to do my own thing. I always knew that God was able and would bring me through-BUT…taking too long___________________ But God is an on time God. We oftentimes don’t realize nor reflect that we were actually not prepared for “the thing”. It is written, ye of little faith. Thank God for the little.
If you have had problems with your faith, you’re not alone. Even the disciples who spent three years with Jesus had difficulty in believing therefore you are amongst the “great”.
Can you relate your life to that of the MUSTARD SEED? Even though it’s one of the smallest seeds, the trees can grow up to 20 feet tall and 20 feet wide. The tree can grow in arid, dry climates and thrive even in clay or sandy soil. It can grow in hot, dry weather or cool, wet climates. I see the mustard seed as being symbolic of faith in that our faith can be tested in the “dry times”, the most difficult of circumstances (drought, poor soil, and in clay or sandy ground). Also, even if the tree is cut down to the trunk, it can grow back again, so the analogy is that even during times of pruning, the believer can overcome and come back stronger than ever, just like the mustard tree that’s been severely pruned and even if only a tiny bit of faith remains. Some things just can’t be explained- we have to let it do what it do!!!! Now that is FAITH>> take your journey by grace. Duchess (duchessjoyce@gmail.com)

Mirrors- Reflects the Person

A mirror reflect back an image of whatever is in front of it. Today let us look into the mirror and reflect on SELF. Do you reflect Light-LIFE? Polished metal surfaces reflect light much like the silver layer on the back side of glass mirrors. A beam of light incident on the metal surface is reflected. Reflection involves two rays - an incoming or incident ray and an outgoing or reflected ray. I know that I need to polish, clean up, shape up and change things in my own life..so I stand in front of the mirror visualizing who I am in the eyes of God and what can I do to be a light to myself and others. Let us be a beam of light of the fruits of the Spirit.

Our Light maybe the only light another person will see or need to take the next step into their Ray of Hope... love you all and thanks for sharing the Word. Share this message and site with someone today..... Duchess

Headlights on the Highway of Life

Some days are harder than most but through it all we must continue to take the journey through (movement) the issues of life. The week has began and some of us have already been faced with challenges that seem so unreal and unfair. "This foundational principle of guidance is graphically illustrated in Psalm: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”. When an ancient traveler journeyed at night he carried an oil lamp with him. As he walked along, swinging the lamp out in front of him, he could see the rocks and ruts directly ahead of him in the road, and he could avoid them. Sometimes he actually strapped a small clay lamp to his ankle and it illuminated the path before him, one step at a time, as he walked. That is how God uses his Word to guide us. He does not promise a brilliant blaze of light to illuminate the road for miles ahead. He promises a lamp to our feet, enough light for the next step. Take your journey by grace. - Duchess

Arise & Shine

Arise and Shine for the Glory of God is upon you. This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Am I convinced of God's love for me and mine for Him? Yes, this conviction is like a sunlight which makes the sap of life rise and buds of sancity bloom. This same love changes the colors of the leaves on trees to orange, read and yellow. This same conviction is the rock on which sancity is built. We will go all the way this week with love, protection, favor & blessing. His oath, His covenant, His blood, support me in the whelming flood; When all around my soul gives way,He then is all my hope and stay". Take your journey all the way.. Love you Duchess

We live in a Lonely Society

God is very relational-
We live in a society that is extremely lonely.
As a matter of fact he lives amongst three parts that are intimately involved with each other, so he communicates to us through relationships.
In true community you can see people for who they really are, people desperately in need of God’s grace.
In community you can see God for who He really is.
In community you can see the true friendships that God desires for every believer.

When people see these three things they are going to want what we have and a tide of growth will sweep this area like we’ve never seen.
You don’t have to feel lonely any more.

If I ask you what did you enjoy or even a few still hold on to this tradition, your reply would be "Sunday dinners with family", yet we have now choosen a microwave Sunday lifestyle for our family. We are becoming more and more alone and there is a price to pay for being alone (of course your devotion time can be alone). One solution that’s offered is to simply dull the pain of loneliness with destructive behavior (addictions and habits). People naturally seek attention, crave love and need communication. God has given us five senses and those senses are best experiences with others. It is called human interaction and intercommunication.

One of the most watched episodes of any show this year was an episode of a show called "Friends." A show that takes place in a coffeehouse, 5 or 6 friends in NYC just trying to make it and they spend time together.
One of the most popular shows of the 90’s was a show called Seinfeld, they said it was about nothing but it really was about a group of friends who hang out and talk about meaningless stuff.

The other solution that’s offered is to get plugged in to a coffee house or and to simply hangout. I love hanging out, I love coffeehouses, I love having friends over to just be together. Being with friends and hanging out will satisfy a need in your life but it’s not the totality of the experience that God wants for you. God’s desire for you is to experience "community."

Real Community is "hanging out with a spiritual purpose." So, for instance, when you go bowling with some friends your hanging out (which is fine, there’s nothing wrong with that), when you come to church this is worship. But we also need to learn to come together for an individual spiritual purpose.

Larry Crabb, "Community matters." That’s about like saying oxygen matters. Community is essential in a healthy Church. As our lungs require air, so our souls require what only community provides. We are designed by God (who himself is a group of three persons living in profound relationship with each other) to live in relationship. We live in a society that is extremely lonely.

On today, November 1st, take a journey to visit someone in your community (JOURNEY- to move) at the hospital, in the home or just go to the coffeehouse and be among lively people. Lonliness is not a good feeling it can be "a dark place". Some of you have experienced this feeling first hand and you have not wanted to complain for one reason or another. Some of you feel like you’re living in an endless game of keep-away. There is an underlying sense of humiliation and shame and separation from other people. Some of you are feeling lonliness at this exact moment. Please reach out to someone and tell them (a trusted person of course) that you really need "communication" and share your experience. If all else fails with a trusted family member or friend- also remember some people enjoy seeing you in lonliness so be careful whom you share. But as the lifeline please visit someone on today.

As a country we are going to have to deal with this epidemic of loneliness. I believe that real followers have the answers and we’re going to need to communicate those answers.

Leave your comments below and let me know your experience of "visiting someone" your comment will help others. Take your journey by grace..Duchess ( inspired by Eric Synder, Minister)

God is a God of chances- new mercies every day. Take small sure steps be strong and of good courage. He keeps ON blessing us over and over again. I understand returning to the situations that we said we would leave behind; the action we said that would never happen again BUT somehow we failed along the way. Second chances- before long you will look back and the old has become new. Thank God that we fall down but we can get up. I reflect on how long I fought my truth; I laugh at myself at the risk I took and the foolish I past- Psalms 139 was my constant friend... Chances are God will lead, guide and direct you through your sickness, healing, recover & success. Enjoy your day.. take your journey by grace... Duchess

Those who trust God's most are those whose faith permits them to risk wrestling with Him over the deepest questions in life. Good hearts are captured in a divine wrestling match; fearful, doubting hearts stay clear of the mat. The commitment to wrestle will be honored by a God who will not only break you but bless you. Are you broken? Are you willing to be broken into pieces so that you can see what is hindering you from being whole? Jacob's commitment to wrestle with God resulted in the wounding of this thigh. He would never again walk without a limp. But the freedom in his heart and facing his truths was worth the price of his shattered limb so that he could move forward.
